Why not?
bootleg music is quick and easy to use, with advantages for both artist and buyer. Best of all, it’s completely
FREE!
No sign-up or on-going fees
Some online sites will provide a free service for only 12 months, after which you are obliged to pay an annual fee or have your account suspended. Not the case with
bootleg music. You will never be asked for account set-up fees or on-going monthly fees.
You keep the profit
bootleg music is committed to ensuring artists receive a high percentage from every sale. While some online services have been known to take up to 80% per sale,
bootleg only retains 30 cents from each sale, regardless of the price. Sell your tracks and keep the profit.
You keep the copyright
By agreeing to the
bootleg terms and conditions, you are not signing your copyright over to us. We acknowledge that your compositions are your property, therefore you maintain all copyright on the material you upload. Refer to section 2 of the terms and conditions for further details.
Personalised profile page and web address for artists
Once you are a member of
bootleg music, you will be provided with your own personalised profile page where the general public can listen to your music, keep up to date with your latest performances and news, and purchase tracks.
Your profile page can be accessed via your own url. This makes it easy for you to direct potential buyers to your music. For example, the url for the band Straight to the Ace is
bootlegmusic.com.au/straight2theace
No other accounts required
To use
bootleg music, all you need is a
bootleg music account - no third party payment account is necessary.
Buyers can purchase music instantly after
signing up.
Artists can sell their own music within 5 - 10 minutes of
signing up. It's that easy!
No DRM (Digital Rights Management)
bootleg music is designed for music lovers who do not want to be restricted to a specific platform for playback.
Most online music services place DRM on all files, meaning the content can only be played back on specific platforms (in some cases, stored once and played back on the platform for which it was downloaded).
bootleg music is different. Uploaded MP3s do not use DRM. This means the buyer of the artist’s material can store and play their purchases on any system that supports the MP3 format.
bootleg music... just add sound!
